Ahhh... my favorite month is upon us... March! The one month that is dedicated to the most beautiful color in the world, GREEN! Why do I love green sooo much? Well, for starters and enders, I Ike the Frog am GREEN and Irish. OK, I am only part Irish, but my Father's Uncle's Half Sister was a Leprechaun's pet, so I really feel the connection :)
St. Paddy's Day is on March 17 and this year I am going get into the GREEN more than ever. Here is a list of things I am going to do in celebration:
7:45 am- Get dressed in GREEN - Wait I am already GREEN :) The best part of St. Patrick's Day is that everyone gets to be me for a day when we are all wearing GREEN and you know what... I never get pinched!
8:00 am - Eat Breakfast. I read in a book about GREEN Eggs and Ham... I think I will try that, I mean come on you can eat it in a boat with a goat, who won't want to eat it.
9:00 am - Take a Dip in The Chicago River. Ever Year for St. Paddy's Day they dye it GREEN. I hope it's not too cold, my little frog legs are sensitive.
11:00 am - Then it's off to find me a Leprechaun... hmmmmm were to find one... I should call me Father's Uncle's Half Sister, If I only knew who me father was... Delema!
12:00 pm - LUNCH! I think I will stick to the usual, a GREEN salad with a side of flies.
1:00 pm - Nap time.
5:00 pm - It's 5 o-clock somewhere and it's time for my first GREEN beer of the day and probably me last. I am small, I can't drink more than a tablespoon.
6:00 pm - Dinner Time... maybe I should have eaten before I drank me GREEN beer. Oh well. I know everyone has corned beef and cabbage, but this year I am going to change it up... How does GREEN Grasshoppers Casserole Sound??? Ehhh, Good Right!
7:00 pm - The sweet smell of Dessert - Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream anyone?
8:00 pm - I thought I would end the night with the movie - "Fried GREEN Tomatoes". Who doesn't love Jessica Tandy... Tears just thinkin' about it.
10:00 pm - Off to bed - Thank you all for spending a wonderful St. Patrick's Day with me... Nighty-Night!
I would love to hear all your St. Paddy's Day traditions... Maybe next year I can try yours :)
